"I joined this campaign because I love what LLS is doing and how they are bringing a change in cancer patients' lives. I chose to support their research pillar so thar they can continue bringing the most up to date technological advances in clinical trials for cancer patients. I have always been trying to find ways to give back to the community either by volunteering at the hospitals, writing cards to patients or doing fundraisers. In 4th grade I decided to do a Lemonade Stand fundraiser with a few of my friends. We were able to raise $600 for American Cancer Society. It felt rewarding doing this and supporting the noble cause. We as a family still keep giving in any small ways that we can. Giving back through LLS is very close to my heart and family. My mom lost three of her close family members to cancer when I was younger and I remember how devastating the loss was. I wish no one has to experience the loss of their loved ones. Please join me in raising funds for LLS to support their amazing mission."

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

 

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

 

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

 

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
